Mirrorless full frame camera1/30/2024 The more megapixels, the larger your prints can be. ![]() The number of megapixels determines the resolution of the image, and in turn how large the image can be printed or how much it can be cropped. One million of these pixels equals one megapixel. Each pixel works individually to capture a tiny amount of light and color, which then gets combined to form the final image. When a camera is said to be “very good in low light” it means that there is little to no noise in the higher ISO values.Ī camera’s sensor is comprised of millions of individual pixels (for “picture element”). Z Gallerie is a unique lifestyle retailer specializing in furnishings and accessories for the home and office. This would be the second bankruptcy filing for Z Gallerie. While Z Gallerie reported approximately $138 million of outstanding debt-funded obligations, it had a cash balance of less than $2 million. Tank buster battlefront 21/30/2024 ![]() In August 1944, the RAF claimed to have destroyed 135 tanks in the Goodwood area (Battle for Caen). The range and armor piercing capabilities were sufficient for anti-armor duties, but a trial conducted by the RAF under best possible conditions revealed the low precision of unguided rockets: In two attack runs, four Typhoons fired all of their 64 rockets on a stationary, pre-painted Panther and only three managed to hit the marked tank.Ī Hawker Typhoon armed with rockets and 20 mm cannons All bark, no bite Four fins stabilized the rocket’s trajectory. These recoilless projectiles consisted of a propellant filled steel tube with an armour piercing (or high explosive) shell screwed into the warhead. Armed with four 20mm Hispano cannons (which could only do serious damage to the engine compartment of a tank) it could carry two 500 lbs (227 kg) or 1000 lbs (454 kg) bombs or alternatively, eight unguided type RP-3 rockets. The Hawker Typhoon was initially developed as a high altitude interceptor and as a replacement for the Hawker Hurricane, but several flaws caused the RAF to employ it as a fighter bomber. It went through a long list of improvements with later versions being up-armoured and geared up for close air support. The P-47 was a robust fighter with a solid high altitude performance dedicated for heavy bomber escort duty. P-47 Thunderbolt of the 404th Fighter Group in flight over Belgium, March 1945 The main workhorses of the CAS squadrons were the American Thunderbolt and the British Typhoon. Airbases were plentiful and accessible, the enemy concentrated in a relatively confined area. ![]() The Allies possessed air supremacy, coupled with a substantial ammunition, fuel and overall logistical advantage. ![]() the pilot’s ability to distinguish between tanks and APCs. Identifying targets would cause another problem, e.g. Multiple pilots would sometimes engage the same target (every so often, an already destroyed or burned out vehicle), leading to an even greater disparity between actual losses and claimed tank “kills”. Ergo, strikes would result in the tanks being partially destroyed or superficially damaged (occasionally blown off the road) and, after successful retrieval, sent back to the repair shops. The main problem for Close Air Support pilots when engaging enemy armor were the inadequacies of the weaponry mounted on their airplanes, especially their low accuracy. It is noteworthy that certain combat performances varied (faction wide), which made the successes of airstrikes situational, influenced by factors such as sub-optimal weather conditions or air superiority. This paved the way for an inflated view, commonly accepted and still present today. In order to better understand the core issue at hand, combat reports, military studies and their respective evaluations allow an insight into the efficiency of destroying AFVs (Tanks in particular) from the Air.The pilots of every nation partaking in the battles of WW2 (particularly in the ETO, European Theater of Operations) grossly exaggerated the effects and accuracy of their sorties. "+" is just the beginning.Literature, movies and video games have contributed to the formation and spreading of historical misconceptions and generated a distorted view on tactical air strikes, not so much to the way they were conducted, but rather their effectiveness in eliminating armored, moving targets. I came across this interesting gem from a WW2 German planes book from AirTime publishing (the publisher of World Air Power Journal). Since this book is at home so I am sorry I cannot give more details right now. There is a book, may be the only book out there, called "Hs-129", which discusses this interesting aircraft in details. It saw actions, not only in the Eastern front but also in Tunisa and in the West too. IIRC, it entered service around Jan 1943 but due to its engine problem plauging it all along. Under the fuseage, it could have extra 500 lb bomb or even 30mm FLAK. It carried 2x MG and 2x 20mm cannon as standard armament. It was a twin-engines aircaft but the cockpit was exteremely small and many guages were placed in the inner side of the engine. It was designed with a "tank-buster" from ground up. Actually German Hs-129B was rather successful.

Iceberg lake1/29/2024 ![]() The only thing that is not mentioned is the brand new outhouse in the alpine, beautifully constructed with a great pine smell (not your typical outhouse - not yet anyway). The directions on this site are accurate but it is necessary to pay attention to them closely as there are quite a few junctions. per the hike description) for a round trip with time to enjoy the views and the lake. Hard to find a trail in SW BC that is so smooth, without the typical gnarly roots/overgrown bushes/muddy sink holes/ fallen deadfall to negotiate. After reading some of the trail comments, I would not attempt this without a bell and some knowledge about bear safety. We didn't run into any bears, but we had a bear bell. Also, the outhouse in the meadow was in beautiful condition! It looked newly built, did not stink, and even had toilet paper.Īfter climbing the boulder field to the lake, make note of where you came up from so you can easily find the quickest (and safest) way down once you have enjoyed the lake. Most of the upper trail follows the water, giving you some great cool air from the rush of the water in some spots. I was freaking out a bit while following the trail directions on here, but there are blue signs for the lower trail at the junctions so trust those and follow the trail all the way to the upper trail.Ībout 1km from the big alpine meadow, you will pass through a small clearing with a small bridge, so that's a good indicator of how much trail you have left. Went with a friend on August 9th and it was really beautiful.

Cable hip abduction1/29/2024 ![]() What is Adduction?Īdduction refers to a movement when one of your limbs moves towards the center line of your body-often referred to as the midpoint-an imaginary vertical line that goes from the top of your head straight down to the ground. Here’s how to tell abduction from adduction, why each form of movement is important, and how to train these movements in your workouts to be a stronger, more resilient lifter, athlete, and and all-around human. To distinguish the two movements with clients and athletes, coaches like Nelson will pronounce abduction as “A-B-duction,” and adduction as “A-D-duction.” People often mix them up “because they sound so similar,” says Mike Nelson, Ph.D, C.S.C.S., an associate professor at the Carrick Institute. The key is keeping them straight, and understanding the difference between the two. “Training in different planes of motion is going to increase your ability to perform, increase your tolerance to injury, and promote injury prevention,” Nobbe says.Ībduction and adduction are fundamental movement patterns that every gym-goer should be training, and they apply to more than just your thighs. Those machines can be fun to load up the weight and rack out-but adduction and abduction mean much more to your physique and movement than just squeezing your thighs, says Jarrod Nobbe, C.S.C.S., the head weightlifting coach for the Athletic Lab Weightlifting team and Garage Gym Reviews. The thigh abduction and adduction machines are the two that act like giant Thigh-Masters, with upright bench seats and leg pads that you squeeze together or press apart. IF YOU'RE FAMILIAR with the words “abduction” and “adduction” but you're not exactly sure what they mean, you've probably spent some time on the floor of a big box gym and perused all of the machines.

Tide chart santa cruz weathercat1/29/2024 ![]() If there are any errors or problems you find with the tide data for Santa Cruz De Tenerife (or any other tidal station) please let us know. We built this tool out of a love for tides and astronomical calculations but it is not intended to be used for navigation or any purpose where you would need to rely on the data being accurate. Tide times and heights may not be 100% accurate and they also do not account for local weather conditions. Our tide prediction model for Santa Cruz De Tenerife uses harmonic constants and the nearest available coordinates along with the Lowest Astronomical Tide (LAT) to define the chart datum. Tide Predictions for Santa Cruz De Tenerife A spring tide is when the high and low tide difference is at it's most extreme, the highest and the lowest tides of the month. When we experience a high tide, the Earth, Moon, and Sun are in alignment, and this creats a strong gravitational pull. We call these tides neap tides, and it's when the difference between high and low tide is at its lowest.Ī neap tide happens between two spring tides, twice a month when the first and last quarter Moon appears. This means that the gravitational pull of the Moon and Sun actually work against each other. When we experience a low tide, the Moon is facing the Earth at a right angle to the Sun. If you have questions about water quality within the County or if you would like to arrange for water testing, please contact the Water Quality Laboratory at 83. These tide types occur twice every month. Santa Cruz County routinely monitors bacterial water quality at beaches and freshwater locations in accordance with State requirements. These are called the spring tide (also known as the King tide) and the neap tide. There are two types, or extremes, of the tide. Inertia wins, and this caused the ocean to bulge out and create a high tide.Īs the Earth spins, different locations on the planet will face the moon, and this rotation is what allows the tides to cycle around the planet. The water moving away from the moon is able to result the gravitational forces trying to pull it in the opposition direction because the gravitational pull is weaker on the far side of Earth. On the opposite side of Earth, the bulge is caused by inertia. The gravitational pull of the moon is strongest on whichever side of the Earth is facing it, annd gravity pulls the oceans towards the moon, resulting in a high tide. Tidal forces of the moon in the open ocean will form as bulges of water that face the moon, but around land mass and coast lines, the water is able to spread out onto land, which creates the tides.Įarth's tides change based on the gravitational pull of the moon as it orbits us. At the lowest point (also known as a trough) reaches the coast, we experience a low tide. When the highest point of the wave (also known as a crest) reaches a coastline, the coast experiences what we call a high tide. The tides are very long waves that move across our oceans, and they are caused by the gravitational pull from the moon and, to a lesser extent, the sun. The data and charts above provide the tide time predictions for Santa Cruz De Tenerife for May 2023, with extra details provided for today, Saturday May 13, 2023.

Stuffit expander download apple1/29/2024 ![]() StuffIt serves its purpose, but we can think of bunches of other programs we'd rather use. StuffIt does the basic job of file compression/decompression well, but without much panache, and all in all, the whole program left us strangely unsatisfied. ![]() Mainly, we were unconvinced that this program can do many things a free program like PeaZip or 7-Zip can't, and confused by the uncertainty regarding what the standard version of the program actually offers. StuffIt's also packed full of configuration options, so if you want to tweak any of the options, you'll have plenty of scope for personalization. You can also schedule operations and use the app as a file explorer. We have to admit that the actual StuffIt creation process is quick and painless, and that the initial time estimation drops quickly as the process progresses.Īs well as creating compressed files, StuffIt lets you open and extract previously-created files, convert from a specific variety of formats and make self-extracting files. So if you download software to a Windows machine and then copy it onto a Mac image, you'll likely lose some parts of the file. The interface is divided into three parts, starting with the standard File, Edit, View options. It's an old-fashioned looking program, with a mess of buttons and options that makes it hard to know where to start. Versions were made available for both Mac OS X and Windows. On first glance, StuffIt doesn't seem to promise much. Aladdin was purchased by SmithMicro, at which point it became a generic unarchiving solution and could handle pretty much every archive and encoding format available for the Macintosh, Windows and Linux operating systems. When Aladdin acquired it, they added support for Disk Doubler archives and other formats. The original version only expanded the original StuffIt 1.x style Macintosh archives Lau later updated it to support Compact Pro (.cpt) archives as well. The distribution rights to StuffIt was acquired by Aladdin Systems. It was updated by Leonard Rosenthol, who developed the standalone Expander version, with support for System 7 and then for PowerPC. The original StuffIt was written in the summer of 1987 by Raymond Lau for 68k Macs running System 4 at the time. It is used to open files created using several programs including WinZip, SimplyRAR. As Apple included its own Archive Utility with Mac OS X, its usage declined and was finally discontinued in 2019. StuffIt Expander is a software developed by Smith Micro Software. It was often included with classic Mac OS and very widely used. It did not compress files like its commercial sibling StuffIt Deluxe. Freeware StuffIt Expander was a freeware decompression utility which could expand a wide variety archive formats.
